5–16 November 2025
Curated by: Arnaud Morand and Ali Alghazzawi
On the occasion of Art Week Tokyo 2025, Eva Albarran & Co is supporting the international launch of *Future of Nostalgia*, an exhibition bringing together 21 artists from the residency programme in AlUla, the ancient oasis city in north-western Saudi Arabia. Conceived by curators Arnaud Morand and Ali Alghazzawi, the exhibition explores the links between memory, territory and imagination through works inspired by the landscapes, history and contemporary transformations of AlUla.
Conceived as a reflection on how narratives of the past shape possible futures, the exhibition brings together international artists whose practices combine sculpture, installation, video, photography and emerging technologies. Presented in Tokyo to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia, it contributes to the international reach of the cultural programme developed in AlUla.
Eva Albarran & Co handled the international production of the artworks and the exhibition, the logistical coordination of loans and transport, as well as providing editorial support for part of the catalogue published to mark the event.
