Since 2017, Un Été Au Havre has invited artists from around the world to interpret the city of Le Havre in public space, offering a contemporary art event that is free and accessible to all. Born on the occasion of the city and port’s 500th anniversary, it has become an unmissable summer gathering, renewed each year by new works on view from late June to mid-September. Over the editions, a permanent collection has taken shape, each work revealing a landscape and an atmosphere unique to the city.

For the 2026 edition, Gaël Charbau, artistic director since 2023, continues his ambition to send art rippling through the city, crossing boundaries between private and public space, reaching into new neighbourhoods, exploring the full range of territories artists inhabit today: from digital art to live performance, from sculpture to video.

Eva Albarran supports the executive production of Un Été au Havre, coordinating and overseeing the work of the invited artists until 2030.

Invited artists: Gaspard Combes, Guillaume Aubry, Samuel Trenquier, Gregory Chatonsky, Sophia Taillet and Charlotte Huard.
